Hideo Kojima anunciou o anime de Death Stranding, Death Stranding Mosquito, projeto anunciado no evento Beyond the Strand, que celebrou 10 anos da fundação da Kojima Productions como estúdio independente. Junto com o anúncio, o filme ganhou um teaser trailer e pôster.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach já está disponível, exclusivamente no PlayStation 5.
